Safety notice: GTO 3 Line lenght

The GTO3 was originally designed with Dyneema (9200-035) lines in certain upper D line groups. Following the identification of differences in dimensional stability over time, GIN has decided to replace these lines with Kevlar (Edelrid 8001).

Although the affected gliders left the factory with the correct line geometry and trim, these two materials exhibit different dimensional stability characteristics over time. In particular, Dyneema lines may experience greater shrinkage than Kevlar lines after approximately 100 flight hours.

The extent of this shrinkage can vary considerably depending on usage and environmental conditions, particularly exposure to humidity. This differential shrinkage may result in changes to the wing’s original trim and potentially affect its flight characteristics.
