Safety notice: Rescue Handle
During routine maintenance assessments and long-term product monitoring, we have identified that, due to aging and operational wear over time, the stitching that secures the plastic paracord to the rescue handle of the Gingo 4, Gingo Airlite 5, Verso 4 and Safari pilot 3 may weaken, become loose, or detach.
If this occurs, the paracord may slide and become trapped around the retaining pin when the rescue handle is pulled. In the worst-case scenario, this could prevent or delay the deployment of the emergency parachute. This degradation depends on the harness’s age, storage conditions, and usage intensity.
Handles where the stitching remains intact, firm, and free of signs of wear remain safe to use; however, regular pre-flight inspections are strongly advised, and handles showing any sign of deterioration should be replaced immediately.
