Biography

Will Gadd is a prominent Canadian ice climber, mixed climber and paraglider pilot. He formerly held the paragliding world distance record, with a flight of 423 km in Zapata, Texas. He is the host of the documentary series Fearless Planet, working with regional scientists and traveling with them, or by himself, to various locations that are in the individual episode's focus.

1995
What is your current material (glider, harness)?:
Mostly a Camino 2, but an Explorer for exploration flying, X Lite.
What is your flying weight?:
About 95 with vol bivy gear.
How many flights do you have?:
3000? I don’t know :).
What is your longest flight?:
423K
Why would you like to fly in the GIN team?:
I have set two world records, one the US and Canadian Paragliding Nationals, done huge Vol Bivy crossings, and every single day was on a Gin glider. Thank you.
What are your latest/best results?:
Flew into a big peak, climbed it, flew out! Best two days of my year,
What do you like about Gin Gliders?
Well designed, safe, do what they should do. No one glider is perfect for everything, but a good glider does what it is designed to do. Gin gliders have never let me down.
What are your objectives for the next two years?:
More Vol Alpinism flying. This is really exciting to me!
