Over six years, his practice evolved into adventure flying and hike & fly bivouac trips across the Alps and Pyrenees. He competes regularly in hike & fly races in France and Switzerland. His next challenge : the 2026 X-Pyr.
Interview
I’m a Mechanical Engineer in Grenoble, France
Beside flying, I’m enjoying the mountains around home in different ways like skitouring, mountain-biking, climbing or mountaineering.
I started paragliding in the summer 2020 after a friend took me on a tandem flight. I was hooked. It seemed perfect to get back down the mountains I climbed.
The take off above my home, Chamrousse, close to Grenoble, I can walk up there from my doorstep and land right in my garden.
A Solo Vol-Biv adventure in the pyrenees, and the best flight is always the next one !
Here’s a flight of 248 km last year.
Flying requires you to adapt to conditions, always anticipate the next moves and keep a clear mind to get further. I like that mindset you need to be in to fly, the feeling of freedom and the sense of accomplishment you get after a beautiful flight.
It’s a great opportunity to fly great and innovative products. It’s a chance to contribute with my feedback to the next performing glider. It’s also a comeback to a brand that has created two gliders I loved and progressed with (Explorer and Camino).
To have a wonderful experience in the X-Pyr, to learn more about flying and about me. I would also like to take time to go on a new vol-biv adventure as it’s the most exciting kind of flying.
Take your time building a strong understanding of what piloting and flying really is or requires. The more you learn, the more you realize you didn’t know much previously. Always appreciate that chance we get to be up there with the birds.
