Do you have any hobbies besides paragliding?:
I am learning to play the piano, and I sometimes make paragliding videos. After I broke my back in a paragliding accident, I also started spoon carving. It’s actually quite relaxing!

When and what inspired you to start paragliding?:
I started when I was 17, after some years of working up good-will from my parents. I watched my uncle go flying once when I was 5, and I think that’s when I knew I wanted to fly.

What are your favorite flying spots?:
My favorite spots are all on the west coast of Norway. Loen is maybe my all time favorite, because you can both train acro and fly XC to the biggest glacier in mainland Europe.

Why do you want to be part of the GIN team?:
As a competition pilot, it’s important to focus on the details and to be serious about all the things that could improve performance. The GIN team does this in a way that makes me believe that they will continue to make the best gliders for many years and keep developing our sport in a good direction. Also, the GIN team is like a family, and I feel very at home here!

What are your objectives for the next two years?:
I want to win some competitions of course! I am very motivated to fly a lot of World Cup events, and hopefully get some results that I can be proud of.

What advice would you give to new pilots?
Set some clear, realistic goals. Nothing ambitious, but something so you know what to focus on. Paragliding isn’t like jogging, where you can just go out and run every day. It’s important to use every chance you get to train and improve the small details. But still, there is no point in doing this if you’re not having fun.
