Biography
This young pilot from the south of Spain didn’t discover paragliding... it could be said that paragliding discovered him. From a very early age, Víctor showed a strong interest in the sport, attending most national competitions alongside his father, where he spent long hours practicing ground handling and learning from other pilots at take-off sites. From the moment he started flying, it quickly became clear that all this passion from such a young age was turning into pure talent. So much so that by the age of 16, he had already been crowned Spanish Hike & Fly Champion.
Interview
At the moment, I am studying high school in Spain, choosing a field of study that I can apply to paragliding in the future.
I enjoy almost all kinds of sports, but besides paragliding, I mainly practice cycling and trail running.
I have been around paragliding almost since I was born. I started flying tandem with my father when I was 3 years old. At the age of 6, I was given my first GIN Bobcat, and with that glider I practiced ground handling almost every good afternoon. Later on, Darío Dandeu gave me a Boomerang 11, which I used to spend my afternoons playing on a very small slope. When I was 12, I started flying solo. You could say that paragliding is in my blood, I grew up surrounded by gliders and learning from some of the best Spanish pilots.
I like many flying areas, but my favorite places are Villanueva del Trabuco, Pegalajar, the Pyrenees, and Roldanillo.
My longest flight in terms of duration is 6 hours and 46 minutes from Algodonales with a B glider. My longest distance flight is 210.80 km, flown in 6 hours and 20 minutes from Arroyomolinos de León. Although I am not fully focused on XC, I mainly fly Cross Country and Hike & Fly.

What attracts me most about paragliding is the feeling of flying itself and the fact that you are constantly learning, because in paragliding you never stop learning.
GIN has always been a big part of my paragliding journey. I started practicing with GIN and it has always been one of my favorite brands. Another thing I really like about GIN is the people, how I was welcomed into the team and how they make me feel part of the GIN family. And of course, the great products that GIN develops.
To improve a lot as a pilot, learn as much as possible about flying and about all the work behind a paraglider, become a good test pilot, aim for top positions in the Hike & Fly World Championship both individually and as part of a team, defend my Spanish Hike & Fly Champion title, and try to achieve the Cross Country title as well.
My advice to new pilots is not to rush into flying advanced gliders or competing, because that does not help you progress properly. I recommend taking things step by step, developing strong ground handling skills, as this is what gives you real control of the glider in the air. And above all, never lose the passion for learning, because paragliding is a sport where you are constantly learning.
