Gin Team wins at the SRS Le Grand-Bornand

The Gin Team secured the overall team victory in the French Alps flying the GTO 3 and the new GENIE RACE 6, with Luke Nicol and Víctor Aguilera finishing second and third overall.

The SRS Le Grand-Bornand took place from 18–24 July in the French Alps, bringing together many strong competition pilots for six demanding tasks in varied alpine conditions.

The event featured a wide range of flying conditions, from strong thermic days with cloudbase above 3,000 metres to lighter, more technical tasks that demanded patience, careful decision-making and efficient flying.

The Gin Team finished the week by winning the overall team classification, while Luke Nicol and Víctor Aguilera secured second and third place overall, highlighting the team’s consistent performance throughout the event.

Gin was also represented at the top of the women’s classification, with Mette Krum taking the victory flying the GTO 3. In addition, Magdalena Janaway won the lightweight classification.

Five Gin Team pilots also competed using the new GENIE RACE 6 competition harness. Throughout the week, the harness proved itself in demanding racing conditions, combining aerodynamic performance with the comfort and practical features required for long competition flights.

Congratulations to all our pilots on a successful week in Le Grand-Bornand.
