Beni Kälin flies a 300 km flat triangle with the GTO 3
For Beni, it was his very first cross-country flight on a Gin glider and a memorable one from start to finish, with an especially beautiful return leg from Verbier. The flight delivered strong performance throughout the day, aided by consistent tailwind conditions except during the final part of the flight.
As often happens in the Alps, the conditions were dynamic and constantly evolving. Strong valley winds developed in the main valley, and near Gibidum, Beni encountered an unexpected easterly wind, adding an extra challenge.
