2016 Paragliding World Cup - St Andre, France - Task 3: cancelled

Idris Birch reports...

"Task 3 was set despite the forecast of a 20-25kph wind at 2000m.

The task would take us into the valley in front of take-off and then down wind onto the Crete and to a 400m cylinder at the Col de Bleyne takeoff with the goal at Lachens at Ulric's house.

Unfortunately as we launched it was already windy and the task was stopped around 1 hour before the start gate.

Pilots hurried to land as the wind picked up quickly.

The red wing in the picture is Gin Pilot Andre Rainsford, who is currently placed 2nd overall."
