Question:  Where are you from?
Romain: I was born in Bourg St Maurice/Les Arcs in the French Alps. I think I’ve made 2 weeks in a soccer club to then realise where was my truth: ride and glide!!
I always liked action sports. Now I’m 29, I’m happy, confortable while doing Paragliding, Kayak, Sky diving, Base-jump, Skiing… This rhythm my life. I’m Pro-skier since 10 years, I fly paragliding since 15. I’m paragliding instructor in summer My jobs are my passions, it’s a chance, but also a priority..


Question: Mountains?
Romain: Towns are making me afraid, stressed.. Too much people, cars, noise… Not possible for me. Nautre feets me better. Mountains are giving me so much: Space, diversity, liberty. I look sometimes for the horizon, from the top of thermals!


Question: Why Speedflying?
Romain: I like speed, skiing, flying… This is Speedflying !! Explosive cocktail!! It’s the sensations’s concentrate, and easy access.. How not making this amazing sport ?!!


Question: Your encounter with Gin Gliders?
Romain: At the start made with sky-diving canopies, I was expecting that brands would involve into designing specific tools for Speedflying. When my friend François Bon proposed me to ride for GIN, I didn’t hesitate one second!.. When I flew the Nano for the first time, it was like if I always knew it… Huge!! Gin was on the top with paragliders, he still is with Speedgliders.
My list is to promote the activity and Gin Gliders while doing demos, comps, photo and video shoots. I just had to transfer my competence from ski to Speedfly…


Question: Future?
Romain: Lot of people are getting to Speedflying, coming from various worlds. Skydivers, paragliders, kiters, skiers… All are catched, addicted, we’ll see more and more people on snow slopes… Speedflying is in evolution, and will go in various ways: fly,freestyle, freeride, speed…

Romain: Alaska, Canada, Alps… Some longs, steep, and beauty runs!!

Romain: A secret one in Les Arcs… I’ll never tell you, even under torture!
